Improved Drag operation in the 3D Window
ArchiCAD 16 introduces improved drag operations for elements in the 3D window. It works uniformly for the dragging of all 3D element types in the 3D window.

3D Drag Techniques
The way the Pet Palette Drag command works is that the drag vector starting point must always be on a node, edge or surface of a selected element.

3D Drag Input Techniques
When moving around the cursor to specify the drag vector end point, the Tracker shows the drag vector distance and the angle of its direction to the Editing Plane.

3D Editing Feedback Improvements
ArchiCAD 16 provides surface feedback for operations in the 3D window. This is a gray colored square that is similar to the feedback square displayed when the Pick Plane command is activated for the redefinition of the Editing Plane.

Surface Snap in the 3D Window
ArchiCAD 16 incorporates a new snapping feature in the 3D window: a gray colored feedback square that snaps to the surfaces of elements. It snaps to both planar and curved surfaces.

Selection Options in Info Box for all Tools
The Arrow tool has three options available in the Info Box. As a new feature in ArchiCAD 16, when any tool other than the Arrow tool is active and the SHIFT key is pressed to select elements, these will become available at the top of the Info Box.

Locking to 3D Editing Plane
In ArchiCAD 16 it is now possible to lock input to the Editing Plane, when a node or an edge of an element is found during element creation or editing.
